 I am currently on a cow/calf stud (Lewis Farms) which has a great reputation for producing quality bulls for farms in Alberta, approx 100kms north-west of Edmonton. The job entails anything from vaccinating calves, feeding cattle, general farm maintenance and cropping. I have always been interested in Canada and wanted to experience it first hand to explore new farm practices including both livestock production and dry land cropping."

To many, the thought of international travel can be very daunting. You can rest assured, both Stuart and Craig have extensive travel experience and are here to mentor you through the entire process. We keep it as simple as possible without leaving anything out, as you will see it is a step by step process, so let's get the ball rolling!
- Complete the application form.
Do your best to include as much information as possible such as intended travel dates and how long you wish to work in Canada for.You will then need to email your resume, at least two references and two photos that best personify your character. You will be contacted by Stuart shortly thereafter to discuss a realm of possibilities!
- Apply for your Working Holiday Permit here: www.whpcanada.org.au

- Enquire about flights and travel insurance. We use and recommend STA Travel for cheap airfares and affordably priced travel insurance. www.statravel.com.au
Upon confirmation from Stuart that we have a position for you in Canada, you will need to go ahead and book and pay for your flights. Please forward your flight details on to Stuart.
- Obtain an International Driving Permit from your State or Territorial Motoring Club (NRMA, RACV, RACQ) . This will permit you to drive any vehicle, whilst in Canada, for which you are licensed in Australia. Further info can be found here. www.aaa.asn.au/touring/idp.htm
- In order to be paid while working in Canada, you will need a Social Insurance Number, this is the equivalent of your TFN in Australia. We will arrange for your employer to schedule time for you to visit a Service Canada office to apply for your SIN or you can download the forms here and apply by mail: www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/sc/sin/
- You will need to open a Canadian bank account. We will discuss this with you and endeavour to have you open an account with the same institution as your employer.
